The Sassy 4 year old
When did turning four mean turning sassy? Molly is going through a sassy stage. That is not my favorite thing and that is boring are her two favorite sayings right now. Today she was not following my instructions to come eat dinner (she was watching a movie) and I threatened to throw her TV in the trash can if she did not come downstairs. Her response--TVs don't fit in the trash can. How does one respond to that? She is definitely learning to test boundaries when it comes to getting what she wants. This usually comes at bedtime. I only hope this phase passes quickly as we near the birth of Will--who will rock her world I am sure. It is going to be quite different for her as well as all of us. A good different though. She will be a great big sister, but it will take her awhile to adjust.

Oh, the fun times! Molly sounds like her cousin, McCanless. Think they get it from Moe? ;) I hate to tell you McCanless began this sassy stage at three and has yet to grow out of it. However, I will tell you, McCanless never had issues with Mary Clare being around. I, too, was so worried that her world would flip upside down, but I discovered that having a baby in the house didn't upset her world one bit. She still thought she was Queen Bee, no matter what. What baby?! She didn't skip a beat. Hopefully, Molly will adjust just as well. I can't wait to see this big boy soon! Love to you all, Kerri
